I have been lusting after this dress since i seen the press photos of it and considering it's my name sake it felt like fate, i was thinking it would be perfect for graduation but with a £95 price tag it is quite expensive, however my lovely boyfriend offered to buy it for me.
When i first tried on the dress today i was a little underwhelmed, the fit just didn't seem right over my bust and waist making it look a bit odd (i actually ordered 3 sizes of this dress, a 20,22 and 24; for fear of it selling out and other peoples reviews made me think the sizing couldn't be trusted) and the size up was huge and i didn't even bother the size down as i could only just get my boobs into this one.
The detailing on this dress is just amazing, the beading and lace detail on the sleeves and chest is just divine, the collar makes it really on trend and the extra beading it just this dress pop. It has a zip at the back (which is quite tricky to do on your own) the lace doesn't feel scratchy like you might think it would and the actual material of the dress is quite thick and rigid.
With a second try of this dress it has grown on me more and the fit actually seems a lot better (maybe i put it on weird earlier, who knows) but i think i am going to think about it as £95 is still a lot to spend on a dress and i don't know how good it will look at graduation considering you won't be able to see the sleeves.
The second item i ordered as the Geo Print Lou Lou Tunic. this was £65 and i again ordered 2 sizes (20 and 22) and the 20 was actually a much better fit than the 22, the 22 seemed a bit shapeless and baggy however there is a bit of an issue with this tunic, when they were designing it, i don't think they thought about busty girls and button placement, they are in pairs with big gaps with can cause gaping, it would have been better to spread them out but that is my only niggle. I love the lace inserts, it makes for a really different look and the pattern is also really lovely, it has gold thread woven in so it shimmers in the light, the under dress is a good length and a good fit (unlike most under dresses) but again i will have to think if this dress is worth the money.
