PhD Dinner

Tuesday night was our PhD Christmas Dinner, a chance for the PhD students in the school of management to  get together, eat and be merry. We also had a secret Santa  those of you who follow me on twitter know i had a slight disaster and ended up wrapping my gift in love heart paper, however the guy who received it seemed to enjoy it. What does one wear to such an event? I actually put on about 5 outfits and was running in and out of my housemates room in a fluster, it was freezing out  so i didn't want to be cold and  didn't want to make a huge statement as i was unsure how others would dress. I finally decided on this dress, its simply and understated but with a hint of edge and sexy.
