My blog is one today!
Wow a year already! It has gone so fast and this little blog
has gone from strength to strength. I started it as a bit of a hobby and
something to go along with my master’s dissertation, but now it has become a
passion, an integral part of who I am. Since I started I have bared my body and
my soul on this blog and had some amazing experiences and opportunities that
without the blog would never have come about. This blog has even helped me pick
a career path, which I don’t think I would have considered without it, my PhD,
the topic of which is very close to my heart and I hope over the years you, my
readers will enjoy hearing about, as I am looking at body image ideology and
how people reject, accept or negotiate it. But the best thing to come out of my
little corner of the internet has been the community and the friends I have
made, you are all amazing and I have never felt so welcomed and included in
anything. So everyone who reads my blog, whether it be regularly or just once, I
thank you for taking the time to come and have a look, comment or just like
what I post.
As a special thank you and to help you celebrate with me, I have organised, along with Betty
as it is her blog birthday tomorrow, some great giveaways, there are 14 in
