I remember seeing
this dress on the banner of Lindy Bops website and knowing straight away i
needed it, however it was nowhere to be found on the website and at London Edge
one of the girls working the stand was wearing the dress (which just cemented
how badly i needed it) and told me a large retailer had bought all their stock
but it would be back online soon. Cue me acting like a stalker, but it was
actually Tan who text me to say it was back the site and i moved quick to get
it in my basket and make it mine.
And it didn't disappoint when it arrived.
The print seems quite old fashioned but in a modern way with its all over blue
rose stripe design, it feels like something you would see on cookery. I got a
size 24, which was a perfect fit.
It is made of a thick cotton fabric
(with 2% elastane so has a little bit of stretch), with a fit and flare
silhouette; classic 50's. The dress is lined in the body, but not in the skirt.
designed for a comfortable fit, fit and flare silhouette, lined bodice, a
scoop neckline with a V cutout and one of my favorite details, the ruched
sleeves, that are a decent length. It also has a concealed zip fastening to the
rear and comes with a contrasting red belt.
This dress is currently on sale at Debehhams and
is available in nearly all sizes.
It is also available in skirt and strappy
dress on Lindy Bop.
